The difference between tenacity and stubbornness

"The difference between tenacity and stubbornness is that one comes from a strong will and the other from a strong won't." -- Anonymous

Yes, Yes, this is so good. A stubborn person is one who keeps saying, "I won't do this" or "I won't do that". They usually get in the way of themselves and other people. They also get in the way of your company if you let them.

A person of tenacity is one who by choice will not let something go. They want to do things. This is the person you want on your team. They will keep doing things until they win.
Which are you - tenacious or stubborn?

I am trying to move from stubborn to tenacious.

The most dangerous person in the world

The most dangerous person in the world is someone who has all the answers and has stopped growing. This is dangerous in business, in family, in religion, or in any part of life. And it happens to many of us, as we get older and have experienced so many things, we think we have seen it all before. One way to keep learning and growing is to keep experiencing new things.

1. Read a book outside of your field.

2. See a movie you would never normally go and see.

3. Go out to eat with someone who is outside your normal circles.

4. Learn a new skill.

5. Learn a new musical instrument or craft.

Let your soul be open to new ideas.

Our world seems to be getting more and more dangerous

Our world seems to be getting more and more dangerous, simply because so many people in the world seem to be quoting only their understanding of scriptures and have stopped studying other books and learning new things. This is what has given rise to fundamentalism around the world.

The more we learn and know the more creative we can be, simply because our mind has more material to work with. The more we learn and grow the more we can help other people. The more we learn the better we can be for ourselves and or families.
Here's how I try to expand my mind.

1. I read 45 minutes a day.

2. I read 4 different magazines.

3. I keep a physical book to read all the time as opposed to an audio book.

4. I listen to audiotapes from famous speakers and authors.

5. I listen to an audio book every month.

6. I write two of these newsletters every day.

7. When I am around experts, like doctors or engineers, I constantly ask them questions about their profession and the latest thinking I have read in their field.

8. When I have the slightest idea or question, I get on the internet and try to find an answer.

What are you doing to keep your mind active? What are you doing to keep stretching your mind?
Let's keep working and dreaming.
